ABOUT MOVE TRAINING

NTG FUNDING NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR MOVE COURSE
Please note that with effect from 1 April 2009, the Non-profit sector
Training Grant (NTG) will no longer be available for MOVE courses.
Funding for courses remains through VCF funding. For clarifications,
please do not hesitate to contact us.
CHANGE IN VCF FUNDING FOR COURSES
VCF Secretariat would like to inform that the funding level for courses that are approved under the Governance & Management training
category will be reduced from 90% to 80% with effect from April
2009.
- Pre-approved training courses that
commence on or after 1 Apr 09 will be funded at 80% (60%
for Employment Pass /Work Permit holders).
- Pre-approved training courses
that commence before 1 Apr 09 and ends after 1 Apr 09 (e.g. 31 Mar
09 to 2 Apr 09) will be funded at 90% (70% for Employment Pass /Work Permit
holders)
MOVE is currently updating the course fees. please do not hesitate to contact us.
VPM RETREAT 2009 IS HERE
MOVE
is proud to present the VPM Retreat 2009 which features veteran VPM
practitioner, Mr. Rob Jackson, from UK. The retreat features advanced
training for volunteer programme managers (VPMs) and 3 days of
exhilarating and interactive learning with local
specialists and foreign experts. Topics covered would enhance VPM's to
better work both within the organisaion and with volunteers. Click

MORE FUNDING FOR VPM TRAINING
From 1 November 2008, there will be 2 funding schemes to help VPMs equip themselves with skills and knowledge for their practice. These are the VWOs-Charities Capability Fund (VCF) and the Non-profit sector Training Grant (NTG). NVPC AND MOVE ENTERS INTO STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT TRAINING
With the signing of the agreement on 31 July
2008, NVPC officially appoints MOVE (Managing and Organising Volunteer Efforts) as
provider of volunteer management training courses.
With immediate effect, MOVE will organise and
provide training in volunteer management for the people and social
service sectors in Singapore.
This is in line with MOVE’s vision and objectives
to enhance the standards and capabilities of the volunteer management
profession.
