NVPC AND MOVE ENTERS INTO STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT TRAINING

NVPC MOVE Signs MOUWith the signing of the agreement on 31 July 2008, NVPC officially appoints MOVE (Managing and Organising Volunteer Efforts) as provider of volunteer management training courses.

With immediate effect, MOVE will organise and provide training in volunteer management for the people and social service sectors in Singapore.  For the next 4 months until the end of 2008, an interesting calendar of events has been planned including a 2-day seminar in October with Martin Cowling from Australia.

For 2009, we hope to start a new series of competency-based training courses leading to certification by the Workforce Development Agency.  Another highlight event to be held in the 1st quarter of 2009 will be the annual Volunteer Managers' Retreat.

Click on the button links NOW and be on our mailing list to receive the latest news about training courses and other volunteer-related activities for you and your staff.  Besides training courses, MOVE also hosts Community-of-Practice sessions, networking meetings for practitioners, CEO breakfast meetings and many more.  You will receive news regarding these activities ONLY when you are on the MOVE mailing list.

The first 100 to sign up to be on our mailing list will receive a training voucher offering cash discount for any of our courses.  MOVE members will continue to enjoy membership rates over and above this cash discount.

We hope to have you and your organisation on MOVE's mailing list so that we can continue to be of service to you.

Warmest regards,

Michael Loh
Chairman, MOVE

You would have noticed a few changes here and there in the web community.

For a start, you would have noticed that the web community spots a new look for the new year to give it a more friendly look.

We have also made available a MOVE Toolbar which you can install into your web browser. With the new MOVE Toolbar, you can search the web, listen to online radio, getimmediate news updates, view latest MOVE news, be notified of new emails in your web mail, all from a tiny bar in your browser. To install the toolbar, just click on the "Add to" button under the "MOVE Toolbar" section on the top right section of this page.

Enjoy your stay in the community! :D
